Dear Experts,
We are the confirming bank, we have received a lc which reads pda as 3 days
We sent a claim to reimbursing bank 01June2013 with mentioning value date as 04June2013(calculating 3 days pda)
we have received funds from reimbursing bank on 10June2013 when we enquired about the late receipt of
funds they confirmed that there was PDA in reimbursement claim which they awaited approval from issuing bank to debir their account
How could we handle this? ultimately issuing bank is getting benefit of 6 days(3 issuing bank+3 reimbursing bank)
Can issuing bank act in this make sense?(indicating PDA in letter of credit as well as reimbursement authorisation
Is this practice in banking world?
Regards
Dinesh
