Moin Moin from Hamburg, Germany.

What is your opinion about an invoice showing
Consignee: to order
Notify Party: applicant (Name and Address mentioned)

Is Art. 18.a.ii. fullfilled???

Regards,
René

Hi Pal,

no, but it will depend on the l/c conditions.

@picant Many thanks for your prompt reply. What kind of l/c condition could it be? I have no idea.

Hi Pal,

l/c allowing for a commercial invoice indicating consignee to the order and notify the applicant.
I think that the applicant could present to the Customs a self-invoice with correct data, but due to export Country Legislation
had to accept an invoice so worded. The data indicated are for bill of lading and not for an invoice, but we are not aware of the requirement of the export Country.
Other comments appreciated-Ciao

An invoice requiring info of consignee to order and notifying applicant will still require the to fulfil the conditions of relevant article of UCP namely to be made out in the name of applicant (i.e to show the applicant as buyer). This condition will not supersede UCP600 articles as consignee and applicant may be different parties.
