Hi all,

L/C calls for: FULL SET 3/3/ ORIGINAL BILLS OF LADING MADE OUT TO ORDER OF BANK ABC, KATHMANDU, NEPAL

Beneficiary presents B/L consigned TO ORDER and endorsed by shipper TO ORDER OF BANK ABC, KATHMANDU, NEPAL.

is this acceptable? at the end of the day you still have a negotiable B/L to order of the issuing bank, however i have seen this rejected before, discrpancy 'B/L endorsed to order of issuing bank instead of consigned to issuing bank'.

any opinions?

best regards

:)

Dear Friends,
I have encountered similar cases like yours some times and the answer is "No'. The way of endorsement like that is not acceptable, it may change the nature of B/L regarding the consignee. Regards,
