field no. 47 A : PHYTO SANITARY CERTIFICATE SHOWING THE INVOICE NUMBER OTHER THAN THE COMMERCIAL INVOICE ACCEPTABLE.

In this case : is it mandatory to show invoice no. & date on phyto certificate or without showing invoice no. would be acceptable.?

IMO, you better seek clarification from issuing bank that they indicate which invoice number other than COMMERCIAL INVOICE.

On the other hand if you accept LC with this condition than you must indicate INVOICE NUMBER

If LC called for "PHYTO SANITARY CERTIFICATE SHOWING THE INVOICE NUMBER OTHER THAN THE COMMERCIAL INVOICE ACCEPTABLE". By putting acceptable is an optional. It means then you dont have to worry about it. It could be a Performa Invoice No.

HI,

Paragraph Q11 of ISBP 745 stipulates the following:
A certificate may indicate a different invoice number, invoice date and shipment routing to that indicated on one or more other stipulated document, provided the exporter or consignor shown on the certificate is not the beneficiary
If the meaning on the condition stipulated in the L/C correspond to that stated in the para. Q11, there is no need to formulate the required document as following :
PHYTO SANITARY CERTIFICATE SHOWING THE INVOICE NUMBER OTHER THAN THE COMMERCIAL INVOICE ACCEPTABLE
. It would be preferably to formulate the required document as following:
PHYTO SANITARY CERTIFICATE SHOWING THE INVOICE NUMBER
.

However, the phyto sanitary certificate must, in any cases, state an invoice number.
