Certificate by Shipping Agants

Hi,

I have received a PO in which the client is asking for Certificate By Shipping Agents along with the other normal documents. Can anyone help by giving the format of Certificate by Shipping Agents?

Hi Pal,

Many certificates are requested in trade issued by Shipping Agent: vessel age, vessel IMO standard, on board = shipment date etc.
So you must qualify it by asking the buyer.

Dear Picant

a) Is certificate by shipping agent called for by an LC under UCP600? If the answer is Yes, please include at least the details and formats required by that LC.

b) If the cerificate by shipping agent is not called for by the LC, you'd better check with your customer whatelse details they need. When submitting this certificatge by shipping agent, please make sure you inform your banker this certificate by shipping agent is additonal documents which forms no part of this presentation under Lc and should be not examined.

Hi Pal,

You are speaking about a document in a Purchase Order, not in a l/c. Data in PO must be "translated" in the details of a l/C and must be represented by a Document. So you need to know what must be certified by the Shipping Agent, otherwise is a nonsense.
