Dear All,
Can the transferring bank changes the availability of the credit as under:
a. transferable credit mentioned avaibale by negotiation- transferred credit availble by payment [sorry not honour] vice versa.
b.transferable credit mentioned avaibale by acceptance- transferred credit availble by deferred payment vice versa.

answers to your questions
1. no and yes i mean if LC is available by negotiation then no. but a LC available by honor may be changed to available by negotiation. i think this is possible when lc is confirmed by the transferring bank

Pls note that the LC cannot be available by honor, rather by payment, acceptance or deffered payment.
No clauses can be changed except the ones permitted by UCP

i think changing the availability might be possible.
however one important information is missing here. available with whom?j. The first beneficiary may, in its request for transfer, indicate that honor or negotiation is to be effected to a second beneficiary at the place to which the credit has been transferred, up to and including the expiry date of the credit.
