HI

Can some one explain me the difference between a shipping company and a carrier, whether they are same or different. If they are different kindly explain their difference.

Hi Pal,

in the world of UCP these terms have the same meaning.
May be in shipping industry a little difference exists. but we have to ignore it.

Hi Pals,

shipping company may be a carrier in signing a certificate regarding a transport document, but the transport document must be signed as carrier or agent of named carrier. ISBP 745 A 19(2013) is
quite clear.
