Dear all,
recently i have been asked by client to give a clause in the LC to effect a FCL-LCL, CY-CFS shipment. so far i understand that such happen only if the carrier consolidate cargo of other customers. but here i have only one customer. what could be the possible reason?

Re: FCL-LCL CY CFS
From your point of view you have one customer but from Freight forwarder side there may be more than 1 consignee to receive goods which travels sharing the same container. No freight forwarder is obliged to reveal to one consignee the other ones.

Re: FCL-LCL CY CFS
Hi Pals,
It seems to me that a seller has filled a container in CY Container Yard, and by this FCL Full Container Load shipped their goods to different buyer for the same destination, helped by the Shiping Company or a freight forwarder. At destination , in a Container Freight Station, the container(LCL Less than Container Load) will be empty, and cargo delivered to various buyer against presentation of proper bills od lading(House or not).
Pay attention that as per ISBP 681, points 90 and 114, in some case bills of lading could be linked and must be presented together to take delivery of goods.
Ciao.
