Advantages & Disadvantages Of HOUSE AWB vs AWB

Guys Hy,

I have seen many posts regarding difference between this two type of documents, but i cant come to any conclusion,

What advantages and disadvantages does HOUSE AWB have in comparison to normal AWB?

Also from applicant side if beneficiary insists to present HOUSE AWB must be it accaptale for applicant?

The AWB is issued by the carrier while the House AWB is issued by the forwarder.
The air waybill is not to be rejected only because it indicates a HAWB, unless the documentary credit does not allow House air waybill ( not acceptable by the applicant).

Allow me to quote ISBP 745 paragraph H4:

A stipulation in a credit that “Freight Forwarder’s air waybill is not acceptable” or “House air waybill is not acceptable” or words of similar effect has no meaning in the context of the title, format, content or signing of an air transport document unless the credit provides specific requirements detailing how the air transport document is to be issued and signed. In the absence of these requirements, such a stipulation is to be disregarded, and the air transport document presented is to be examined according to the requirements of UCP 600 article 23.

If a credit calls for a HWB then we disregard that condition however if a credit calls for an AWB and if a HAWB if presented it would be acceptable provided it fulfills all the conditions of article 23
