Bill of Lading Drawn Or Endorsed On The Wrong Branch

Dear Experts
Solicit opinion on following:

Lc requires 'FULL SET OF CLEAN SHIPPED ON BOARD MARINE BILL OF LADING DRAWN OR ENDORSED TO THE ORDER OF XYZ BANK LTD. ABC BRANCH' but BILL OF LADING DRAWN OR ENDORSED TO THE ORDER OF PQR BANK LTD. CDF BRANCH.

WHAT WILL BE THE REMEDY................

HI Pal,

in this case, as ABC bank I will contact bank PQR Bank and try to obtain its authorization to endorse the bill of lading for its account.
Otherwise contacting representative of carrier to modify the endorsement.
Naturally all it is possible if the parties are in accord and no odour of fraud is in the air.

I agree with Mr.Picant, if both the parties are in accord then it is possible.

But majority of the cases i see daily in such circumstances where LC requires for a document to be Endorsed by a specific bank then it should be that specific bank only. Otherwise the document sent under LC will remain discrepant.

Will want to hear more opinions on this.

Its better to get amend the bill of lading to the order xyz bank.
