Hi All:
UCP600 Article 6D(i) is understod by me to mean that expiry date for presentation of documents under a documentary credit must be stated inside a documentary credit. If in the event there is no expiry date stated for presentation of documents, then the expiry date stated for the honor or negotiation of the documentary credit is to be regarded as the expiry date for presentation of document.
However, i also read that if expiry date for presenation of document is not stated inside the documentary credit, then the documents must be submitted within 21 days from the date of shipment.
so which is the correct one?

To add on, i understand the statement "STALE DOCUMENTS ARE ACCEPTABLE" if stated inside a documentary credit to mean presenter can present documents 21 days after shipment date but within the validity of the documentary credit.
The statement "STALE DOCUMENTS ARE ACCEPTABLE" will over-ride any presentation expiry date (if any) indicated inside the documentary credit.
