Port Of Loading And Discharge Are Warehouse To Warehouse

Post by Sudheer » Fri Feb 03, 2017 1:04 pm

Hi All,

we have received the LC, where we are confirmation to the LC.

Beneficiary: XYZ - SINGAPORE
Applicant: ABC - CHINA

Port of Loading and Discharge as below
BONDED WAREHOUSE IN SINGAPORE

where as field 46 given as
WAREHOUSE WARRANT/WAREHOUSE RECEIPT IN ONE ORIGINAL

My Question is:

why port of loading and discharge are warehouse to warehouse when applicant is in 'CHINA'.

please advise whether we can add confirmation to the LC or not.

thanks

Questions for beneficiary...

Hi Pal,

from data provided here I think that the goods will be stored in a bonded warehouse in Singapore,
waiting for a further destination. The document to be presented, instead of a transport document
is a warehouse warrant or receipt that in many legal systems is considered as a document of title.
Then, confirmation will depend on the standing of the issuing bank, isn't?

Dear sudher ,

letter of credits is a mechanism to support trade not to limit it

as long as the beneficiary and the applicant agrees on that terms

l/c is provided to guarantee the payment against the documents
