Transferable l/c
Hi Pal,
not all transferable l/c are , in effect, transferable...
If a credit requires specific certificates, shipment advices etc, that only the first beneficiary must do, they may discole the true producer, that in the future may be contacted directly , excluding the intermediary. A forwarder may help the first beneficiary to produce neutral documents avoiding to indicate other parties.
So it is important to evaluate the implication in wording an l/c transferable.
Other comments appreciated
