Bill Of Lading Is Negotiable And A Document Of Title
As per UCP Bill of Lading is negotiable and a document of title. A Non- negotiable seaway bill is a non- negotiable by the name itself. How ever if a seaway bill is issued to the order then it will become a negotiable document and will posses equal workability with that of BL. So can a Sea way bill be used in place of BL if it is issued to the order. Please provide your comments

Re: Negotiable and document of title
Hi Pal,
a seawaybill issued to the order is a normal bill of lading!
In my view.

Re: Negotiable and document of title
HI Sai kumar Chintakuntla
Surprinsigly, UCP600 does not talk about a Bill 0f lading being as a negotiable document or a document of title. In practice a straight consigned B.L is not negotiable
So may I ask you where did you get this information from?
Thx
