Article -6 (e) Presentation of Documents

Dear All Friends,

Presentation of documents " By or On Bahalf of Beneficiary Means"? . I can understand presentation of documents apart from Nominated Bank / Issuing Bank.

Could you explain with example ?.

a presentation is not necessarily has to be made by the beneficiary himself. it can be made by his agent or freight forwarder or any other party nominated by the beneficiary. i dont think a nominated bank works on behalf of the beneficiary as long as presentation is concern. because its the nominated bank to whom is the presentation is made. for the same reason, there is no question of issuing bank as well. however if the presenting bank is a not nominated bank and works solely at the request of the issuing bank, then we can say that the presenting bank is working on behalf of the beneficiary
