iii. states that it is original, unless the statement appears not to apply to the document presented.

Hi Pal,
presentation of
-copy of original bill of lading, so stamped original but this notation refers
to the bill of lading and not to the document itsself.
-fax report with imagine of an original insurance certificate,
in few words documents that may represent other documents.

one thought...
My view is that article covers scenario of a photocopied or scaned document from an original. Therefore, even if the photocopy shows the word original, such 'originality does not apply to it
