An inward L/c received for $100000 showing under description of goods the following :
total amount of goods : $120000
Deduction $20000 if goods shipped before December 2018
deduction $ 10000 if goods shipped before jan 2019
my question : the first beneficiary request us to transfer the LC for $80000 how the above deduction can be reflected to transferred L/C

Dear,
not sure of the expectation of the issuing bank. Invoice must evidence these deduction or issuing bank deduct these upon remittance. clause appears that to avoid deduction goods to be shipped after January.

the issuing bank ask the deduction to be shown in invoice .
after January the deduction become not applicable which is after the latest date of shipment
.
we need to reflect this condition to the transferred LC as UCP600 article 38 not take about deduction and how to be reflected
