LC issued:
*available with any bank in India
* by Payment
* Draft at sight
* Draft drawn on Issuing Bank in Bangladesh
Is the format ok?
Someone saying that in this LC, nominated bank will make payment to beneficiary upon receipt of fund from Issuing Bank.
Pls comment!

Hi Pal,

by payment with any bank it is possible, drafts are not necessary. The payment instructions must correspond to a payment l/c, so the bank that act on its nomination(in this case any bank) should be authorized to claim funds from Issuing Bank or a reimbursing bank. Issuing bank will risk, but may require an authenticated advice or request that mitigate this risk.
However it seems to me more a negotiation l/c that a payment l/c.
Please check the instructions to the bank.

No. if nominating bank makes payment without realize of the proceeds from the IB then it is called negotiation
