Presented period

Dear all

May I ask whether lc 48 presented period mentioned as document 21 days after shipment date but within lc validates is acceptable?

It seems that it is missing a word before 21 days.
Normally, the expression would be “within” 21 days....

Dear,

Condition appears ''stale documents''. However, Please share the exact condition given in the LC as i remember a case where LC states ''must'' be later than 21 days from shipment wherein BL was presented within 21 days from shipment date leading to discrepancy ''early presentation''

Dear all

Correct clause mention presented later than 21 days but within credit date of validated is acceptable . I have been informed to issuing bank that is not discprancy but still pick as discrepancy.

Hi,
The number written in this field automatically means that "X days after shipment date and within l/c validity". If the field left blank, it will mean "21 days after shipment date and within l/c validity".
As this field shows a "period" the word "within" before the number not compulsory.
Refer to swift rules for field 48.
