Hi,
1. Why some Banks are not accepting standby letters of credit with Copy of the Bill of lading?
We request copy of the unpaid invoices and copy of the bill of lading under the standby letter of credit to validate if the merchandise under the unpaid invoice was sent to the applicant. But some banks do not accept Standbys LC with copy of the bill of lading.
2. For my clients security, how can I validate if the merchandise was sent to the applicant under a standby LC?
Will appreciate the help.
Regards,
Bill Of Lading on a Standby LC

1. Ask those banks as to why they don't accept
2. Either by copy of transport document, or beneficiary's express declaration that they shipped the goods under B/L.... dated .... and they have not received the money. By this way, you have the possibility to identify on the carrier's site the whereabouts of goods
