Art 14f applies

Hi Pal,

delivery note is not a transport document as per art 19-25 UCP 600 and must be checked as per art 14 f. We cannot speak of shipment date nor of period of presentation, document may be presented within the l/c expiry date. To avoid any problem it may noted a delivery of goods happened on/before 31.12.12.
Other comments appreciated
Ciao

Ok, Delivery note is not a transport document. But, Can we use the Bill of Entry date as the shipment date for the Inland shipment in this regard ?

you can use any document as a reference for shipment date provided you have duly specified in L/C such a correspondence/condition. Otherwise, you cannot determine on the basis of UCP alone, the shipment date .
However, in the absence of transport document , where there is a clear indication about the shipment date on a particular document, let's say the invoice specifies: "Shipment date 31.01.2020", then such date will be construed as date of shipment for purpose of determining compliance
hope it helps
