Truck bl refused word carrier

Dear members
An Issuing bank refuses a presentation Because a truck bl did not indicate is “carrier” . We dispute since on the face of the truck bl we can identify the transport company.

Hi Pal,

UCP need the identification of the carrier and the sugnature of the same or its agent.

By viewing the document is shows the name of the transport company on the truck BL . Does the signature need to stay that is the carrier or agent ?

Hi Pal,

Transport Company is a term notincluded in UCP 600 or ISBP 745. Both publications refer to Carrier
only. So documents must be issued by a carrier or its named agent.

Probably, a judge will decide that Transport Company is a Carrier, but not a banker.
