Algeria and scanned documents

Ha Friends,

recently Bank of Algeria sent instructions to algerian banks to accept scannerized documents to be
collected under URC 522, instead of original documents, due to the lack of Courier delivery in its
Country dor Coronavirus(Letter dd March 19, 2020),
Have experienced such operation, do you know if other Countries decide to use such service for
collections and presentation under l/c?

The discussions of scanned docs have been forwarded also to the carriers for their coming back to an opinion regarding releasing goods without presentation of an original B/L. I'll keep you posted on developments.
