Dear colleagues,
please help to solve the dilemma: whether the presentation of 2 unsigned certificates of quality with pre-printed indication "Original" met the requirement of l/c ("CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS - 2 originals') and is it a discrepancy or not (as per Article 37 of ISBP certificates should be signed).
Thanks in advance.
Vital, Moscow.

Certificates require signature
Para 37 of ISBP clearly states that certificates, by their nature, require a signature. So, unless the document is signed, I would not consider it to be a certificate.
(Also, you might want to check out the varied forms of “signature” as provided in Article 3.)
Hope this helps.

discrepant
ISBP calls for a certificate depending on its nature. in my opinion a certificate of quality must be signed and therefore the presented one is discrepant.
signature is one of the way to make a document original.
