Hi,
If a L/C specifically prohibits on deck shipments, is a bill of lading stating the goods may be shipped on deck acceptable.
Would rt 26 of UCP 600 would still apply?

on deck
Hi Pal,
A bill of lading claused that goods may be loaded on deck it is acceptable, because the clause indicates a possibility but not that goods are, actually, loaded on board.
Bill of lading for goods loaded on deck, has a case in which it is indicated if the goods are loaded on deck, totally or partially, this bill of lading will be refused, if not authorized by the l/c terms.
