dear all, earlier there as a discussion where the document has its translation on the back. now i have a document which is fully in different language and i have no clue what it is about. however the only document missing excluding this one is the phytosanitary certificate. can i refuse the document?

examine means carefully observation / inspection / analyze/ checking condition etc.
UCP article 14 says that documents must be presented on their face alone. its not also the liability of the bank to translate the document. given the scenario, the document is not acceptable. since you are completely unable to determine the content of the document, its better to raise discrepancy over the missing sanitary certificate.
