Laem Chabang instead of Bangkok

Post by ucp800 » Mon Jul 19, 2010 4:51 pm

Dear Expert,

May I ask for your opinion of the following :

L/C called for
- full set clean on board ocean bill of lading
- 44E BANGKOK
- 44F LE HAVRE

Beneficiary submitted 3/3 B/L indicating
Place of receipt (pre-printed wording) : Bangkok
Port of loading (pre-printed wording): Laem Chabang
port of discharge (pre-printed wording): Le Havre
Place of delivery (pre-printed wording): Le Havre

On board notation showing Ocean vessel name, date and
port of loading : "Laem Chabang"

Is it vaild to cite the discrepancy - B/L showing port of loading
Laem Chabang instead of Bangkok

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards,
Ucp800

port of loading

Dear,
On board notation clearly evidence goods shipped on board on a named vessel at a port of loading stated in the credit. Hence complied.
by the way,
what about the following case:
full set clean on board ocean bill of lading
- 44E BANGKOK
- 44F LE HAVRE

Beneficiary submitted 3/3 B/L indicating
Place of receipt (pre-printed wording) : Bangkok
Port of loading (pre-printed wording): Laem Chabang
port of discharge (pre-printed wording): Le Havre
Place of delivery (pre-printed wording): Le Havre
shipped on board bill of lading presented and no separate on board notation is appeared but only appeared date of issuance.
is the bill mof lading acceptable.
regards
nesar
