BL shows
consignee or order
Bank xxxx
xxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxx
no indication of to order. is the BL straight consign? if the applicant waive this discrepancy, how can we release the documents? will a normal endorsement work on the back of the BL?
I think is a legal issue

The wording is somehow conflicting. A conflict in a document is deemed a discrepancy. The question here is that BL a title of goods?
The situation should be put in front of an expert maritime layer

Hi Pals,
in effect ISBP 681 points 76,101, 122 consider transport documents consigned / to order, not acceptable in a L/C.
In case of acceptance by the applicant of discrepancy, if the bank decides to endorse the Bill of lading, will claused it " for unloading " or put a not negotiable stamp to avoid further endorsement.
However a good forwarder will help applicant to solve this problem.
Other comments appreciated.
