Hi Pals,
has someone knowledge of an ICC opinion about this problem:
-If the sole original of a document must be sent, as per l/c terms, to Applicant and the l/C further requests this document, do I have to present an original document or it suffices a copy/photocopy?
i.e.:
-Beneficiary declaration that EUR Certificate accompany the goods, or has been remitted by mail to applicant.......
-EUR Certificate.
Awaintin for replies.
Thanks and Ciao

Hi ILC,
unfortunately the books you quoted are not in my possession and I think no Italian Banks have one. Yesterday I had an educational on URDG and ICC opinions to be discussed, and nobody cited those books. If it is possible to have an abstract to my emai
picchi.antonio@virgilio.it, I will be very grateful.
Thanks and Ciao

dear picant,
here is the quote from FAQ
17.11 According to ISBP.......A credit calls for a copy of bill of lading to be presented and the originals are to be sent directly to the applicant. the beneficiary presents an original which indicate the no. of original issued....
suggested answer -
if the credit requires original bill of lading to be sent to the applicant, this means all of the originals....if the beneficiary presents an original bill of lading to the bank, that means that not all the originals were sent to the applicant as required by the credit. that means the presentation is discrepant.
