i have received a bill of lading where the port of loading is stated in the following form

place of receipt - xxxxxxx
pre-carriage by - MV molina
Port of loading - -
Ocean Vessel -
port of discharge - xxxx


the problem is the port of loading is in fact stated in the place of receipt. since the pre-carriage vessel name shows MV, can i consider the bill of lading compliying?

98. While the named port of loading, as required by the credit, should appear in the port of loading field within the bill of lading, it may instead be stated in the field headed "Place of receipt" or the like, if it is clear that the goods were transported from that place of receipt by vessel and provided there is an on board notation evidencing that the goods were loaded on that vessel at the port stated under "Place of receipt" or like term.

hence i will require a extended on board notation showing the name of the vessel and port of loading.

I really wonder when I read an ICC Opinion, it represents a real case, but no documentation has been provided for discussion and approval, In our matter, please clarify the l/c requests. It seems to me that, assuming Bill of Lading as per art. 20 UCP 600, a place of receipt, being a port, when other details of transport are unknown and point iii) is applicable. However I need to see l/c text and document presented before answering.
