Hy guys,

I am again in need of your valuable opinion regarding article 14 .e
There is written that "In documents other than the commercial invoice, the description of the goods, services or performance, if
stated, may be in general terms not conflicting with their description in the credit", so it means that in commercial invoice goods/service/performance must be identical as in credit?

I am confused now because as per new isbp C3 "The description of the goods, services or performance shown on the invoice is to correspond with the description shown in the credit. There is no requirement for a mirror image. For example, details of the
goods may be stated in a number of areas within the invoice which, when read together, represent a
description of the goods corresponding to that in the credit"

Can anyone help me to understand more clearly?

Not required to follow the same format

Hi Ge,

Invoice goods description should be identical as per LC goods description but not required to follow the same format or the same way LC states

Ex:LC states Goods description as follows
Line 1 ...........
Line 2...........
Line 3.........
Line 4.........

In this scenario it is expected invoice will evidence all the four lines of description but not necessarily the same order
It can also evidence something like this
Line 4.............
Line 1.............
Line 3............
Line 2............

When you read fully ,Invoice has all four lines as per LC but not in the same order .This is perfectly acceptable.
This is the meaning of C3

Hope this helps you!

Now it is clear to me. thank you very much for your support.

I have a little question regarding article 14. j " However, when the address and contact details of the applicant appear as part of the consignee or notify party details on a transport document subject to articles 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 or 25, they must be as stated in the credit ".
Now new Isbp phara E15 tells us "When a credit requires a bill of lading to evidence goods consigned to or to the order of “issuing bank” or “applicant“ or notify “applicant” or “issuing bank”, a bill of lading is to indicate the name of the issuing bank or applicant, as applicable, but need not indicate their respective addresses or any contact details that may
be stated in the credit.

I am also confused here can not identify must be identical or not

First Scenario:
LC does not state anything about notify party - In this scenario B/L evidence applicant details
Whatever details appear in B/L should not conflict with LC.

Second scenario:
LC states notify party as Applicant. Then B/L showing notify party as XYZ(being the applicant name) without mentioning the address is acceptable.

Am not sure I understood your reply but would like to insist details(address of applicant) should not be in conflict whether or not LC requires notify party.

Second scenario just the name suffice ,not necessary to give address details when it states Notify Applicant or Issuing Bank.
