Hy Guys,
If lc requires Full set B/L to order, blanck endorsed - when beneficiary presents B/L and on the back of the document is not endorsed by shipper and has no hand written is it discrepancy?
As i guess correctly if B/L is - to order of issuing Bank, it doesnot need to be blanck endorsed, it has no reason.
Thanks in advance.

If the B/L are not blank endorser, that`s certainly a discrepancy. However, the beneficiary can ask the nominated bank to endorse them on his behalf

blank endorsed
Your assumption is right. If the B/L is consigned to the issuing bank, it need not be blank endorsed. However, don't you see the difference, between blank endorsed and consigned to the issuing bank? The issuing bank does not wish to have the responsibility of the consignee and hence sought the B/L to be made to order and blank endorsed. Hence consigning the goods to the isssuing bank you are defeating the purpose. Is it not a discrepancy?

Ehm Ehm....
Hi Pal,
I had the same problem, but issuing bank was not obliged to do it. Conflict of interest!
Other comments appreciated

I agree with abelhoci,
according to ISBP E13, WHEN a b/l is issued to order of to order of the shipper, it is not be endorsed by the shipper(beneficiary). the endorsement can be made another entity for or on behalf of the shipper.abelhoci wrote:If the B/L are not blank endorser, that`s certainly a discrepancy. iam90,
E13 tells us:
When a bill of lading is issued “to order” or “to order of the shipper”, it is to be endorsed by the shipper.
An endorsement may be made by a named entity other than the shipper, provided the endorsement is
made for [or on behalf of] the shipper.
It is to be and not "it is not be".
