Hi,
If a MTD is required, this means that goods will be transhipped between the place of taking in charge and the final destination. Transhipment is the unloading from one means of conveyance and the loading to another means of conveyance during the voyage as per paragraph D21 of ISBP 745.

Transshipment And Multimodal Bill of lading
Hi,
It is inevitable that in a MMTD that transshipment will occur.
If MMTD is required then goods will transshipped from taking in charge to final destination(Transshipment means unloading from one means of conveyance and the reloading to another means of conveyance).
So transshipment will always allow in MMTD.
See UCP600 article-19 & ISBP-745 D21 for more.
