Hi

LC Field 46A (7) : CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE SHIPPING COMPANY OR ITS AGENT STATING THAT THE TRANSPORTATION WILL BE EFFECTED BY COPANIES OPERATING IN ACCORDANCE WITH xxxx LAWS AND REGULATIONS REGARDING VESSEL FLAGS, SEAPORTS, SHIPMENT AND TRANSHIPMENT

LC field 47A : DISCREPANCIES ACCEPTED UNLESS RELATED TO COMMODITY NAME, QUANTITY, UNIT PRICE OR TOTAL PRICE AND ALL DOCUMENTS PRESENTED COVERING REQUIRED GOODS.

Certificate stating : WE DECLARE THAT THE CARRYING VSL IS NOT OF xxxxNATIONALITY, IT WILL NOT CALL AT ANY xxxxxSEAPORT DURING ITS PRESENT VOYAGE – LOG BOOK DOES NOT MENTION ANY HISTORY OF CALING TO ANY xxxxx PORT

Banks reply:
//
The presented shipping company certificate cannot be considered as the document under LC46a(7). The content of
the document is completely different from the requirement of the LC. Hence, the same can only be considered as an
additional document presented. (All documents under the 46A must be presented and any discrepancy on the same can
be accepted except related to commodity name , quantity, unit price or total price .
//

is the above discrepancy message valid since we have clause 47A covering the discrepancies.

Thanks for your help.

Acceptable per field 47A

Hi Pal,

the certificate is relating to vessel and not to the commodity, so IMHO but as no native speaker, the congruity of the content is acceptable for a specific authorization in field 47a.
