Hi, I having a issue if the LC states that the BL to made "TO ORDER TO APPLICANT" but when issued it is only stated as "TO (APPLICANT)" and now been quoted as discrepancies. Checked with forwarding company as was told they do not issued "TO ORDER OF APPLICANT" how do we actually explain for such senarios?

To order of..

Hi Pal,

do you mean that the bill of lading has been directly consigned to applicant? But applicant has been written as applicant or the name of the applicant in full? If consigned to the name of the applicant, discrepancy exists but may be accepted by the Issuing bank and applicant.
If it is consigned to applicant, who is the applicant; the name indicated as notify p.e. This is a problem when taking up the goods.
I think, once resolved the problem with issuing bank, the carrier agent would be useful to get the goods.
