PORT OF DISCHARGING DIFFERENT FROM DELIVERY TERM / DISCREPANCY?

Dear Sirs,

I am preparing the documentation in order to send it to the Bank tomorrow and noticed the following thing:
On the original LC the discharging port was: Benghazi port, Libya and goods description: Barley in bulk...CFR BENGHAZI LIBYA.
On the Amendment no. 1, the discharging port was changed to: Tobruk, Libya but they didn't change in the field goods description CFR TOBRUK.

Now, on the commercial invoice I mentioned CFR Tobruk, as this is correct and negotiated delivery term but I'm afraid this may be a discrepancy considering goods description mentioning CFR BENGHAZI.

What do you think?

Thank you.
Monica

Hi Pal,

I dare say that bill of lading showing POD Tobruk, as per amendment and invoice stating delivery term
CFR Benghazi dont make a discrepancy as the cargo may de discharged at Tobruk and moved to
Benghazi(final destination).
Check if the credit allows transhipment or cargo is placed in container.
