Hi Pal,

Period of presentation may be restricted or widened, but usually represent the period of time the transport means need to carry the goods, it takes 2/3 days between Mediterranean Sea, and more than 30 days from Genoa to Seoul, etc. . 180 days are too much, IMHO, except particular cases: shipment to third party for specific work on the goods, etc.
Please clarify?
Othr comments appreciated
Ciao

Maybe it is worth explaining what is the intention behind such an extended date. Is it the L/C payable at 180 days and perhaps a confusion between maturity and expiry dates may have occurred? Or maybe there is a second milestone /second drawing when a commissioning of goods at destination will take place requiring installation, training of personnel and various acceptance tests?
Otherwise I really don't understand the reason as to why you want to pay additional 2 quarters of issuance commissions unless you want to throw the money on window. :)
