Does Correction Of Endorsement Requires Authentication?

dear all,
today i received a BL. the BL is just ok. but on the reverse side there was an endorsement which has been covered with correction tape and a new one is placed. there is no correction stamp there. whats your opinion? the BL is to the order and shipper is the beneficiary. i accepted the BL with the logic that its to the order and therefore beneficiary is the owner. since it is the now the beneficiary that will make the endorsement, it can be corrected without any requirement of further authentication.
what will be your opinion if the BL is to the order of issuing bank?
