If the documents are retired by LIM then what should be the language of endorsement and to whom it should be endorsed?

We usually write "Please deliver to the order of M/S ------or his agent -----Manager for ----bank ----branch."
But i came to know recently that if the bill is retired by LIM then we should not endorse the documents to the impoerter or his agent rether we endorse that to a bank nominated C & F agent.
