Guys Hy again,
I am in need of your valuable opinion.
I have issued an LC and put in 45A: Description of Goods &/or Service : ANTHRACITE, +CIF PORT xxx (INCOTERMS 2010). I have received charter party B/L and on B/L there is no indication of +CIF PORT xxx (INCOTERMS 2010).
Is it an discrepancy or not?
Thanks in advance

Charter party B/L
The absence of the incoterm on the B/L is not a problem, provided the CIF port is indicated on the port of discharge field. However, unless the LC permits presentation of a charter party B/L the presentation of such a document is by itself a discrepancy

CIF & port
The mandatory requirement for trade terms to be stated refers to Invoice only.
If of course there is no clause added on special conditions on the L/C, requesting to mention Incoterms on any other documents which are to be presented.
If the invoice shows trade terms as per the L/C, then B/L needs not to be in conflict with trade terms shown on invoice. Say if it's CIF, then B/L needs to be marked freight prepaid and state correct port of discharge.
