Does The Collecting Bank Need To Endorse A Bill Of Lading?

Does the collecting bank need to endorse a BL? when a DP is paid and BL is made to order and blank endorsed by shipper in blank and Remitting bank also stamp endorsed to "Any Bank or Banker"

If BL is made out to order and blank endorsed there is IMHO no need for an endorsement.

Hi Pals,

IMHO, the local law will regulated the endorsement. In Italy if there is a generic endorsement, tipical in case of collection, to any banker or bank, a bank or banker has to endorse it in favour of the drawer/importer.
