dear all,

is it mandatory to show any description of goods on bill of lading or any transport document. i mean whether it is possible that BL will only show container no.?

Relevant explanation you will find in art. 14 E:
Emphasis should be put on wording ' if stated' which means it is not necessary to state description of goods in documents other than commercial invoice, unless required.
Same position is found on Commentary on UCP 600 page 65.
