CMR is a Convention

Hi Pals,

CMR means Convention pour le transport de Marchandise par Route, convention between some Countries, mainly in Europe, to establish liabilities and conditions of road transport, than CMR was associated to the document of transport, but it is not true. So International truck consignment note could be under CMR Rules or not, depends on the Countries interested by such transport. In a L/C it is better to ask for International Truck consignment note (CMR), rather than CMR only. However from a legal point of view any truck waybill or consignment note could be claused "under CMR rules" an d it is no mandatory to use the specific form in 4 folds,Red, Blue, Green and White pages, we are used to see. One question, nobody would use "IATA" to call for an Air Way Bill, isnt true!?
