Confirmation and article 8 UCP600

Hi, you guys,
Pls help me with these question:

1. Please present role and obligation of confirming bank in each different case
- it is a nominated bank
- it is not a nominated bank
- presentation must be made to it, but the fact that presented to issuing bank by pass it
- it allow to effect presentation to issuing bank
2. When will article 8 UCP 600 not be applied event if there is a confirming bank? That can occur?
