B/L issue date

Hi All

L/C contains clause:

All documents must be dated on or after the issuance date of the L/C.

L/C dated 10th March 22.

Bill of lading Issue date is 11th March 22.

On board notation is 5th March 22.

Does this constitute a discrepancy as the on board date is prior to the L/C issue date?

Hi Pal,

where, iMHO, the bill of lading is acceptable, it contains data that may cause discrepancy, e.g. Period of presentation.
