hi there;
could you please tell me why the name of the carrier is not required in a charter party bill of lading? can a charter party bill of lading show the name of the carrier anyway?

charter B/L is different in that .........
my opinion as follows I hope it will be helpful for you
it is because of it is not a contract beetween the shipper and carrier
there is no carrier because charter means in fact : rent not transport
it is a kind of contract that is te be signed between the shipper and charterer (renter)
Charter party B/L
must appear to: be signed by: the master or a named agent for or on behalf of the master, or
- the owner or a named agent for or on behalf of the owner, or
- the charterer or a named agent for or on behalf of the charterer.
