Packing List Shows Shipment Is Made In 10x40 Feet Container

Dear All,

The Packing List shows that the shipment is made in 10x40 feet container. but bl shows only 10 feet container. should the bl shows the container size?

dear dholat.,
I think that if the B/L show the container size as same as P/L, we have nothing to argue about that.,
But under the ISBP681, a goods description in the B/L may be shown in general term not conflict with that stated in the credit and other docs.,

actually im not sure. UCP does not require such. so is your LC i guess. so there is no problem from that point. but container no. is (may be) an important piece of information.
