need advice.
L/C specify 44F POD "any port in Izmir Turkey" but Bill of lading stated Izmir port Turkey.
Do you think it will catch discrepancy?
No specific port mentioned in BL

Hi Pal,
probably no as the port of Izmir is caled Izmir. the problem arised few years ago, when requesting Any Kingdom of Bahrain port, the bill of lading shows Bahrain and in Bahrain no port with such name.

Izmir port is indeed a named port and the only one in Izmir if I don't go wrong. I think the LC was badly worded, maybe the intention was any berth within Izmir port
